FALL IN LOVE WITH WILDLIFE

World Wildlife Day (WWD), was celebrated on March 3, 2022, by many people in the United States and organizations, as well as multilateral international environmental groups to discuss the “Recovering key species for ecosystem restoration.” What a unique, pleasurable, and personally rewarding experience it is to say you have taken positive action in helping wildlife and our planet.

World Wildlife Day is not about any single living animal, it is a celebration and acknowledgment of all living animals, their existence, and the balance of the ecosystem. WWD was established December 20, 2013 and is planned to continue to be celebrated for many years to come.

The World Wildlife Fund has been fighting to protect our wildlife and their homes with the best resources available, for over 60 years. They have had much success ranging from oceanic humpback whales to beautiful butterflies. Unfortunately, our world is losing biodiversity, the rich variety of life on Earth, at an alarming rate. Every year we see more and more declines in populations and species of birds, mammals, fish, reptiles, and other living species that are much needed to balance out our ecosystem, which in turn will affect our future of this planet.

In the Las Vegas valley, World Wildlife Day also gives us the opportunity to get together and work to find solutions to such problems we are facing. If this is not done, the outcome for us as human beings on this planet is in jeopardy. We too, are animals that have a major impact on the ecosystem and plants and rely on living things to survive.

Please take a day trip and visit our local animals in need at the Lion Habitat Ranch located in Henderson, Nevada. There are many activities to keep you busy, like watching the feeding of the lions. If youre a risk taker, maybe you try feeding one of the lions, just don’t forget you may need all ten fingers!  But if you want to stay on the safe side, just watch “Ozzie”, the giraffe, paint with his tongue and create beautiful pictures! (He is a much better artist than myself- and I have hands. LOL) This is a worthy non-profit organization, and all proceeds go to the animals. What a fantastic way to spend a great day outdoors, all while doing something very supportive and humanitarian that makes a difference for our planet
