Independence Day is almost here. What will you be doing over the Fourth of July? Maybe having a BBQ with friends and family, and/or shooting off fireworks (hopefully, safely, and legally)? In your celebrations, we hope you take time to reflect and appreciate all that our troops have valiantly fought and sacrificed for so long for us to enjoy- our freedoms!

Our country is conflicted and divided, and still trying to break free of the mental, physical, and emotional damage that was endured during our tragic two-year Covid-19 pandemic lockdown. We really need your prayers and actions to make changes.

Here’s a list of just a few suggestions where you can help to make our country a better place for all, on this Independence Day:

• Include a stranger in your celebration
• Sign up to volunteer at a local establishment
• Send soldiers oversees care packages (I have done this, and they absolutely loved it, add a few sweets to your box so they can celebrate as well)
• Have your kids color pictures and take them to your local convalescent hospital
• Pay for someone’s groceries at the supermarket or their gas. Or pay for their dinner.
• Simply and heartfully thank a soldier for their unselfish service

The list is endless. But whatever you choose to do to aid in the betterment and reconnection of our country, please don’t forget those that have lost their lives and sacrificed their families, all for our country’s freedom. Let’s all try and come together in peace and harmony and rebuild the wonderful United States of America. It can again be the best country with our unity, love, and support. Please take the time to say a prayer and thank those who risk their lives for us to live freely. Have a safe and blessed Independence Day, and may all of you have many more to come.
