With lines for taxis, monorails, and skyrocketing Uber prices, Tesla’s CEO, Elon Musk, had a brilliant idea to create an underground tunnel, made by his Boring Company.
I rode the Vegas Loop underground tunnel at the world’s largest technology show in Las Vegas at NAB, National Association of Broadcasting, and I have to say it was a travel and adventure experience like no other; you absolutely must give it a try.
As I rode the escalator down into the Las Vegas Convention Center underground West Hall departure point, I was astonished at all the bright lights that fully illuminated the passage throughout the tunnel. I walked straight to an attendant, and they pointed me to my chauffeur-driven, beautiful Tesla. The tunnels were bright with lights glowing and surprisingly, the little electric car was silent- almost undetectable to the human ear.
Once I reached my underground North Hall destination, the chauffeur cheerfully greeted me as I exited the vehicle in search of more exciting adventures that I just had to experience. It was a very safe and fast experience- heck, at first, I was worried that maybe a buried mobster bone might be sticking out the walls, but no such bad mojo!
Currently, the underground tunnel links the Las Vegas Convention Center’s West, North, and South Hall locations. In what you ask? A Tesla, of course! But plans are in place for multiple extensions of the tunnels that will reach a total of 29 miles and include 51 stops throughout Las Vegas. The expected completion date is still unknown, but diligent work is completed daily to reach the finish line. The tunnel can accommodate up to 70 Teslas at any given time, which is going to be a phenomenal experience for visitors and locals alike traveling to the downtown areas.
This extraordinary new concept will aid in decreasing the traffic and increasing tourism from around the world, as well as beautifying the already extraordinary Las Vegas Strip.
Bring your entire family and friends and take a unique experience to ride the underground tunnels, it will be an experience of a lifetime.
