Celebrate – and Act! – on National Mother Earth Day 2022

Every year, on April 22, the world populace joins together to celebrate and aid collective efforts in environmental protection to preserve and save our precious planet. Earth Day (a.k.a., National Mother Earth Day) originated on April 22, 1970, in the United States.
Today, the effort has blossomed exponentially. Billions of people, representing 193 countries, come together to unite and join forces to take part in activities to protect our majestic environment.

This year’s Mother Earth Day theme is “INVEST IN OUR PLANET.” The key point here is to act individually and collectively in a bold way, innovate in a broad way, and implement in an equitable manner.
No one person can change the world, but together as a focused team, the unimaginable can become an imagined reality.
As an ardent wildlife photographer, I feel our environmental protection is key to OUR future and our very existence. People sometimes fail to realize that we, the people, are also a contributing factor to our world’s existence. Who knows if the day will come, if we do not make changes now, we, humans, may be fighting extinction, just like our fellow wildlife counterparts?
